(BOSTON) – Representative Joan Meschino (D-Hull) will host high school and college interns throughout the months of June and July this summer.
These internships are intended for high school and college students who wish to gain valuable experience of the day-to-day happenings in a legislative office. Students from the Third Plymouth District are encouraged to apply.
“I encourage all interested students to reach out to our office and apply to be an intern with us this summer,” Representative Meschino (D-Hull) said. “The work of our previous interns has guided some of our policy work, and we always look forward to helping young people pursue their interests in public service and our state government.”
College internships will begin at the beginning of June and conclude by August 2nd. High school internships will be organized into two three-week “sessions”, from June 24 to July 12 and from July 15 to August 2. All interns will be encouraged to commute to the State House two to three days a week for the duration of their respective internship.
Applicants should submit a current resume, cover letter, and brief writing sample of their choosing to Representative Meschino’s staff. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. For more information on the internship posting, please visit the “Get Involved” section of Representative Meschino’s website and scroll to “Internships.” For any questions regarding the application process, please reach out to Chief of Staff Chris Altizer at christopher.altizer@mahouse.gov.
